What a great way to start the week, a beautiful, crisp, clear, morning walk around my wee town of Coupeville. Get your shoes on and I’ll show you around.
First stop “Popeye’s House”. Not really but to me it looks like the kind of place Popeye would live. I just love the mist on the water and the contrasting sunrise on Mount Baker and the shadowed house in the foreground.
Just as I walked into town I noticed the chef at Knead and Feed was preparing some yummy pastries soon to be baked and served to waiting customers. You can not imagine how wonderful the smell is of the fresh baking bread and cinnamon rolls drifting across the street along with the mornings fresh air. I do believe I’m in heaven!
I thought I’d share a little of the weekend with you. We went to Oak Harbor for the Whidbey Playhouse performance of Monty Python’s “Spamalot”. It’s the first time we had been to the playhouse and what a nice little theater it is. The show was so funny I cried most of the way through it. We’ll definitely be going back.
We also stopped by a grand opening, open house, here in Coupeville. It’s a new vacation rental called “Float On Inn”. It’s really lovely with a private entrance and a fantastic view of Mount Baker, Penn Cove and the Coupeville Wharf. Winter rates are $125 a night and summer rates are $150 with a minimum two night stay. It would be a very nice place to stay on your next visit to Coupeville. You can call for reservations at 425-691-7132.
Have a great week ahead and well walk again soon.

Thanks Al, I really find that house intriguing. I’d love to go inside some day.

As usual I love all the pictures, My favorite is the Popeye House. That’s awesome.
Please note: Have signed up for Coupeville Impressions many times but never get it unless friend Hellen sends to me.
Our email is waynelyonkayway@hotmail.com. You say we are signed up, but I never get the Coupville Expressions and enjoy it so much. Thanks for your help
I”m so sorry that you’re having trouble receiving my blog in you email box but I have no control over that. It’s all automatic through WordPress, the blog software I use. I’ll see if I can find out anything but I can’t make any promises.
