I’m back! Well actually I wasn’t gone just kind of missing for a week or so. Several things got in the way of my morning walks. Things like the weather, getting up early and working on my antique sports car (1960 Sunbeam, Series I, Alpine) and Microsoft Check Disk ate my hard drive, of course that’s a whole story in itself from which I still haven’t completely recovered. But today I did manage to get out for a walk and I invite you to join me.
It was still pretty dark and overcast when I left this morning making photography a little difficult. I took a lot of photos on my way out to Ebey Prairie but unfortunately I had left my camera on manual focus from an earlier shoot and didn’t realize it so all the photos were out of focus, damn!
Once I got that figured out, on my way home, I took some photos of the flowers along Main Street. Either the Lions Club or the Coupeville Garden Club or maybe both put out beautiful flower barrels all along Main Street. Here are just a few of the barrels.
Across the street I liked the three pink flowering trees in front of the Joseph B. Libbey house built in 1870.
On my way home I took another photo of this old International Harvester pickup truck. I really like the rust and chrome in the morning light.
Back home I found our rhododendrons in full bloom. The lighting wasn’t great but the flowers certainly are.
Thanks for coming back and walking with me, I’ll try to do better going forward. Have a wonderful week ahead!
Such lovely display of colorful flowers. He
re, in Northern Alberta, we just got rid of the foot of snow we got last Saturday and hope to see no more before Dec 31 2015. We deserve a lovely summer like you have. Karen Lyon, Leduc Alberta
Thanks Karen for the compliment. While many have been through a very long and cold winter, here in the Northwest it’s been quite mild and things are really blooming. I’ll look for more flowers as the day go by.
