Happy New Year everyone! I almost mistyped the date above. I guess I have something new to get used to.
It’s still really cold out but I thought I’d start out the new year right with a nice 4.5 mile walk around Ebey Prairie. It was a beautiful clear morning and The Olympics were absolutely stellar in the chilly morning light. I put this panorama together but to get the full impact you’ll have to click on it for a much larger view.
I was going to cut through Kruger Woods on this trail that is really fun to walk because it goes through the dense woods. Fortunately I didn’t go that way as this is what it looked like on the other side of the woods.
The weather right now is fantastic but this reminds us that we had the second wettest fall in history.
I guess I could have brought my ice skates 😉
And on a local note some good news. Frontier Lumber is opening a store in little ol’ Coupeville, woot!!! Up until now the closest lumber store was in Oak Harbor about fifteen miles away. This is right across the street from the high school gym in the old Pro Lumber store. They are opening on Monday the 4th. I’ll be there to cheer them on.
I hope you have a wonderful year and I’ll do the same. As always, “Thanks for walking with me!”
