SPLIT RAIL FENCE – March 4, 2016

Timing is everything and this morning I was off a little bit. I saw the sky starting to “pinken” up so got my shoes on and beat feet for the door. By the time I got to the end of my driveway it was happening. A beautiful sunrise but I could only get a glimpse through my neighbors trees.

I started to fade almost instantly and only lasted for about fifteen minutes. But the neat thing about it were the pastel colors all over the sky. This is looking at the Coupeville Wharf to the west.

Kelly and her fellow city workers have been doing a yeoman’s job on getting the new fence installed along Front Street. Here’s what they accomplished in just one day. I suspect that they’ll be done by the end of today. I really like the rustic look of the split rail cedar.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead and get out to enjoy the world beyond!
