COLD MOUNTAINS – January 4, 2017

It was a really chilly walk this morning at 24 degrees F. But I bundled up and went for it.

I showed you Mt. Baker at first light yesterday but I walked a little later today and caught it with more light. They sure do have a bunch of snow up there, 156″ so far this season. It also looks like the wind is really howling at the top!

The Olympic Mountains are also showing a lot of snow with the morning sun on them. Some of Sherman’s Pioneer Farm is in the foreground.

And my curiosity shot of the day is a water main leak. Can you imagine the workman’s surprise when they tried to dig down to the water pipe and ran into that rock? I wonder if they’ll leave that rock there or move it?

So that wraps up Hump Day. I hope you have a great day and as always, thanks for walking with me.

  1. Hi Ken, I think that rock has to go. Looks to me like it is pushing the water line to the side making it leak. I love it when U shows us picture of the farms etc not just the wharf thou it is beautiful
