Welcome to July! It’s the time of year to plug your ears and be safe.
Speaking of safe, here on Whidbey Island we have lots of deer and right now there are many fawns running all over the place. There’s a saying here on the island; ” You will almost hit a deer, you know someone who has hit a deer or you have hit a deer!”
With the in mind it looks like the parents of the fawns are teaching them some good lessons. I spotted this fawn crossing with the light in a crosswalk. Pretty smart if you ask me.
The sunrise this morning was very dark and dramatic. So get your shoes on and let’s go!
I know many of you live in my small town through my blogs but if you are thinking about moving here I found some opportunities for you. First up this lovely old Victorian is for sale. It certainly needs some work but could be a real show place. From the pictures in the listing it looks like the interior could be brought back to what it looked like in the late 1800’s.
Of course if you’re going to live here you’ll need something to do. How about owning and running a garden business. “Sally’s Garden” is for sale. It’s been in business for eighteen years so it’s well established and everything goes with it.
Or how about starting your own business from scratch. Here’a prime building on historic Front Street. It’s the 1936 Tom Howell’s Barbershop building. It’s a nice space with lots of possibilities.
And of course the biggest advantage is you’d be able to walk with me around town 🙂 But until then I guess my blog will have to do.
Be safe and come walk with me again tomorrow.
