Happy Birthday America! 241 Years and counting. Today would be a good day to read the Deceleration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America, after all that’s what it’s all about.
Today’s walk will be 4.6 miles at a brisk pace, I hope you can keep up. We’re going out to Ebey’s Prairie for the first time in quite a while, but first.
I spotted a new mailbox and thought I’d share it. I believe whoever owns it must be a fisherman or perhaps a fisher-woman.
There’s a lot going on this time of year as planting and harvesting is well underway on the prairie. This is one time I wish I was able to share the smell of this fresh cut alfalfa hay. It took me right back to Nebraska where I spent my youth. The Olympic Mountains are in the background. They’ve lost a lot of snow since winter.
I’ve taken pictures of the rusty farm equipment at Sherman’s farm before and now here’s another one. I love white roses and rust!
And I spotted another young “White Deer”. This one still has some of the darker hair but it will be all white once it’s fully grown.
Thanks for walking with me and I hope you have a fun and safe Fourth of July.
