FALL AROUND TOWN – October 25, 2017

This fall the colors are really spectacular and I wanted to share some scenes from around Coupeville. I took pictures of some buildings that aren’t all that historic or beautiful but I thought you might find then interesting.

Coupeville is the County Seat of Island County. They have a rather large complex in town and this is the old “Island County Court House” with some colorful trees in front.

In a small town of 1,800 people this is all you need for a Town Hall.

Just down the street is the Zylstra House built in 1889. I love this old Victorian!

Not far from where I live is the Captain Thomas Coupe Park. It’s a very small park with a boat launch. There are some very nice places to just sit and stair out over Penn Cove. Coupeville is named after Captain Coupe. This garden is maintained by the Coupeville Garden Club. I love the contrast of the Dusty Miller against the dark red tree.

And I found one more witch this morning. It at “The Crow’s Roost”, gift, art and joy store. It is definitely one of the better ones. The sign says: “Collecting Oz” “Bright & shiny, big or small, even the ticking ones, The Wonders of Oz, to our Roost we bring them all.”

Thanks for walking with me today, I should be back tomorrow as the weather prognosticator says it should be a beautiful day.
