MOVIE TIME

It was really cloudy and gray for my walk this morning so I didn’t find many photo-ops but I did want to share a couple of photos I took earlier.

Saturday my wife spotted this “Rainbow Spiderweb” and wondered if I could take a picture of it. “Of course I can”!

It didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped but at least it gives you a good idea as to the beauty she saw.

Last night the full moon was beckoning to have its picture taken so I obliged.

This morning I walked around Pennington Loop which is very residential and wooded. That combination does not generally make for great photos but this group of plants caught my eye. I don’t know what they are and I like the old split rail fence running along behind.

And now for the “Movie”. This past weekend my friend Bill Schaub visited our wee island town coming all the way from Dublin! Dublin, California that is 😉

He has really gotten into quad-copters and has a very nice DJI model with a GoPro camera mounted on a gimbal. I took him around Coupeville and Fort Casey to capture some of the area. After we were done shooting I edited it down into this video. I hope you enjoy the little tour of Central Whidbey Island. Just click on the photo below.

Have a great week ahead and don’t work too hard 🙂

BENCH AND FLOWER

Once again I didn’t get out for a walk but I did want to share some more photos from our outing around Central Whidbey yesterday. This time I’m focusing on my new camera and seeing what it will do. Some of these have been “enhanced” with Photoshop but nothing too radical.

For some reason I focused on benches and flowers. I hope you enjoy them.

We stopped at the Hummingbird Farm to checked out their gift shop and gardens. While there aren’t any hummingbirds this time of year I did like this blue bench and pink roses.

I found this beautiful pink rose in their gardens as well.

At the Spinnaker B&B this white bench and red rose caught my eye.

Lavender Wind Farm had a nice bench hidden in the trees as well. I really had to look for it but I think the photo made it worth the hunt.

And finally, I’m not sure where I took this flower but I just really like the way the photo turned out.

I think I’m really going to like my new camera, once I get to know it better. I hope you enjoyed my photos and will come back for more!
