Happy Labor Day everyone, I hope you are enjoying a nice holiday, I sure am.
I walked a little further this morning and it yielded some more nice photos, I hope you enjoy them.
The first thing I spotted was this “Practice Fence”. The person that lives here is a wood turner and while he was learning he turned many bowls. He hung his early efforts on the fence and I really like the way they look.
While I often walk Main Street it never dawned on my as to how pretty the old building are lining the street all in a row. This the the Methodist Church and the two Blue Goose Inn buildings.
The tule fog is starting to come onto the prairie and it always makes for some nice photos. It looks like the hay is all loaded in the barn for the winter ahead.
I finally got our resident “White Deer” to pose for a photo. His horns are really starting to grow.
I love this old Dodge truck that is often parked in front of the museum advertising Local Grown, a wonderful little coffee and pastry shop out on the end of the Coupeville Wharf. Not only do they have coffee and pastry but many items from local growers and artisans. If you’re ever out there say hi to William, the owner.
Have a great holiday and short week ahead!
