Let me start off by saying that I really do know how to spell “Declaration” and no I don’t believe our independence is “Decelerating”, but yesterday I miss typed it and the spell checker didn’t catch it. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it!
This morning we’re going to have a short walk around Coupeville. I’ve got a lot on my plate today that I’ll share with you tomorrow.
When photographing a sunrise, timing is everything, especially when you are walking. Most people would leave early, drive to a spot, get set up and wait for the sun but not me. I left early, walked as quickly as I could to a good spot and the sun was just starting to crest the Cascade Mountain Range.
I waited a couple of minutes and the sun was almost up and starting to shed its morning colors onto Mount Baker.
By the time I got up the trail to Coupeville Town Park and turned around the sun was up and everything was awash in gold!
While processing this last photo I saw what looked like a large land mass in the upper right corner, like a huge mountain or something but it’s not really there. What it turned out to be was the shadow from the cliff against a hazy sky. The sun reflecting on the water is what’s creating it, pretty cool, eh?
Finally I have another nice heritage house for you that’s for sale. It’s the Hasselgrave House built in 1890. It has been very well maintained and has a view of Penn Cove. It can be yours for a mere $529,000.
Thanks for joining me today I really appreciate the company. I you like my blogs please share them with your friends by suggesting they sign up to receive them in an email or share them on Facebook. I appreciate that 🙂
