After about 2,000 miles I’ve decided to retire my old walking shoes and get some new ones.
I gave them a 3.1 mile tryout this morning and by golly, I do believe they will work 🙂
So get your walking shoes on and join me for a little walk around Coupeville. First stop, a little nostalgia. How many of you remember these signs point out pay phones? The pay phone this one indicated is gone and has been replaced with a “Little Free Library”.
I know I’ve shown you a hundred photos of Mt. Baker but I just can’t help myself. Looking across Penn Cove I noticed this little “puff cloud” resting low in front of the mountain. I think it’s kind of cool.
And one last photo I’ve taken a number of times before. It’s the walnut tree that Thomas Coupe’s wife planted in the late 1800’s. I love the sky in the striking silhouette!
Thanks for helping me break in my new shoes. I hope to put many more miles on them showing you my sweet little seaside village.
